One Year Reconnected

One year ago today, CKL Engineers became more active on social media than ever before. We felt that we needed to better tell our story, highlight our people, and connect more intentionally with the communities and agencies we serve. As we close out this first full year of activity, the results demonstrate how consistent, purpose-driven communication can significantly expand reach and engagement across the AEC industry.

Building Consistency In The Digital World

Between February 3rd and and December 31st, 2025, we strived to post 3-5 times a week across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and X, a steady cadence which allowed us to establish visibility while sharing a balanced mix of project highlights, leadership milestones, industry education, and community involvement. That consistency translated directly into reach. Total post impressions increased by 705 percent year over year, and our social media following more than doubled, outperforming many industry benchmarks.

Bringing Infrastructure to Life

One of the most rewarding aspects of our social media journey has been the opportunity to bring real infrastructure stories to life in ways that resonate beyond technical circles. Posts that highlight transformative projects, such as CKL’s involvement in major transportation upgrades, multimodal access improvements, and large-scale CEI services, have sparked conversation and connection online. Sharing real examples of how infrastructure enhances safety, economic opportunity, and daily mobility helps our followers see the human impact behind engineering decisions.

Whether it’s bridge strengthening that improves regional freight flow or transit enhancements that expand equity of access, these stories remind our audience that engineering shapes everyday life.

Putting People at the Center

Social media gave us an authentic way to spotlight the people who make our work possible. From field teams tackling complex construction challenges to recognition posts that honor our engineers' accomplishments and our leadership team's accolades, our channels became a place to celebrate each other. These human-centered posts help the public understand the passion and expertise behind every project.

By sharing employee highlights, partnership celebrations, and moments of professional pride, we invited the people we serve to see the faces under the hardhats.

Sharing Knowledge and Fostering Insight

Over the past year, we at CKL wanted to help educate. We shared industry insights, engineering explainers, and context that helps demystify the technical work we do. Topics that tied complex concepts to everyday infrastructure, including the role of communications in engineering and how accessible transit improves quality of life, received thoughtful engagement and helped deepen understanding of the civil engineering field. Our Did You Know series also helped spark interest into various aspects of public infrastructure, from historical accomplishments to little-known engineering quirks.

By grounding technical insight in community-focused language, we strengthened our role as both engineer and educator.

Community Connection and Outreach

Finding our social voice also amplified CKL’s community outreach and engagement work. Whether featuring STEM events where team members introduced young people to engineering, highlighting professional association involvement, or celebrating public recognitions, these posts helped broaden awareness of our commitment beyond project delivery. Social media gave us a venue to celebrate community partnerships and the shared enthusiasm that elevates our profession.

Throughout the year, we also connected with agency partners, engaged with peer firms, and joined larger conversations about infrastructure trends, workforce development, and public engagement. These conversations are a reflection of an ever-growing community of professionals committed to advancing infrastructure together.

Looking Forward with Gratitude

As we celebrate one year of active social engagement, we’re grateful for every like, comment, share, and follow that helped amplify our story. Our social networks have grown from a place for infrequent press releases into a space where CKL Engineers can share meaningfully with those who care about infrastructure, careers, and community impact.

Thank you to our growing audience. Whether you’re a client, a colleague, a student, or a curious neighbor, your engagement fuels our commitment to excellence and inspires us to continue telling the stories behind the work.

Here’s to another year of connection, insight, and impact!
