CKL Engineers, LLC is a long-time partner of the Chicago Transit Authority. We have had a hand in two of the CTA's largest capital projects for the Red Line, and we are now actively working on the Red Line Extension, promising to bring service improvements and new opportunities to marginalized neighborhoods like the one where CKL was originally founded.

Red Line Extension
CKL Engineers is providing construction inspection and management services for the Red Line Extension project, extending the line an extra 5.5 miles south to 130th Street, serving previously disinvested and underserved neighborhoods such as Roseland and Altgeld Gardens.
Red and Purple Modernization (RPM) Phase One
CKL Engineers provided civil engineering and construction inspection services to support the Red and Purple Modernization (RPM) Phase One project, an initiative to overhaul Chicago's North Side Main Line and provide faster and more consistent service on three of the CTA's busiest lines - the Red, Purple, and Brown Lines. Upon completion in 2025, Phase One of the RPM project significantly enhanced the transit experience for Chicagoans, providing faster, more reliable service citywide while accommodating future transit-oriented development across Chicago's North Side.
95th/Dan Ryan Station & Terminal Improvements
CKL Engineers provided construction inspection and management services for the 95th/Dan Ryan Station & Terminal Improvements project, ensuring that it remained efficient. The new terminal serves as a key transportation hub for the disadvantaged communities of the Far South Side, serving thousands of daily bus and train riders in nearby neighborhoods and southern suburbs alike, including the neighborhood where our firm was first born.
